We are looking for an Networks and Communications Team Leader to work within our European Information Support System.
The position of Networks and Communications Team Leader is primarily responsible for providing, developing and maintaining a secure, reliable and performant network infrastructure to meet the needs of the European IT systems used by the organisation to facilitate their business processes. This role is also responsible for the provision, operation and continuous improvement of the European division’s electronic communications platforms (e.g. VOIP and email).
Main responsibilities:
- To ensure that investigation and response to network and communications related incidents are performed quickly, efficiently and diligently with a focus on Continual Service Improvement
- Develop consistent, efficient and thorough network and communications incident response processes
- Liaise with business units and corporate functions to ensure that the network and communications Infrastructure addresses current and future business requirements
- Lead the definition and delivery of a secure, reliable and performant network and communications infrastructure strategy that meets the current and future needs of the organisation whilst effectively managing costs
- Identify, determine feasibility and implement technologies and trends that could help improve Crown Europe’s network and communications infrastructure and standards
- Co-ordinate the effective and efficient operational support of all third party and internally managed network and communications infrastructure
- Work with the IT teams in the other Crown divisions to provide stable inter-divisional network and communications links and align strategic goals wherever possible
- Meet governance requirements and ensure compliance with all necessary network and communications related regulations, local legislations and audit requirements
- Ensure that all network and communications solutions comply with cyber security policies and frameworks so they remain secure and minimise the risk of cyber attacks
- Document network and communications solutions and standards and keep all network and communications related documentation up-to-date
- Perform regular network performance testing and baselining, and ensure that the needs of the end users and IT systems are met and continuously improved
- Develop skills and knowledge within the rest of the network and communications team
- Provide day to day management of the team members in the network and communications team, ensuring they are happy, motivated and perform to their highest potential
- Provide training and materials to aide end users in the adoption and optimal use of network and communications technologies and investments
Job requirements:
In order to succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- IS background with at least 5 years’ working with a Microsoft based IS Infrastructure
- Detailed knowledge of IS networking technologies, solutions, procedures and processes
- Strong understanding of telephony, email and associated technologies
- At least 1 year of experience in a role with network and communications related responsibilities
- Can demonstrate a history of developing and implementing new network and communications solutions
- Understanding of IT within a manufacturing environment.
