About this opportunity

We are now looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Specialist, based at Wantage (UK). 

 

The role is to design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure systems that enable seamless business operations and support rapid innovation. Strive to ensure maximum system uptime, performance, and efficiency while continuously improving automation, monitoring and security across all platforms.  

Main responsibilities:

•    Act as the final escalation point for IT support issues, providing expert resolution for complex technical problems
•    Identify, diagnose, and resolve recurring issues to prevent future incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
•    Provide effective and efficient operational support of third party and internally managed infrastructure solutions
•    Liaise with business units and corporate functions to ensure that infrastructure solutions address current and future business requirements
•    Work closely with 1st and 2nd line support teams, providing guidance and mentorship. Collaborate with other IT teams and external vendors as needed
•    Identify, determine feasibility and implement technologies and trends that could help improve Crown Europe’s infrastructure solutions and standards
•    Assist with defining and maintaining infrastructure standards to be used in the European Division
•    Meet governance and audit requirements and ensure compliance with all necessary infrastructure related regulations, local legislations and licensing compliance.
•    Ensure that all infrastructure solutions comply with cyber security policies and frameworks so they remain secure and minimise the risk of cyber attacks.
•    Document infrastructure solutions and standards and keep all infrastructure related documentation up-to-date
•    Provide training and materials to aide end users in the adoption and optimal use of infrastructure technologies and investments
•    Perform regular infrastructure testing and baselining to ensure that the needs of the end users and IT systems are met and continuously improved
•    Develop, maintain and perform consistent, efficient and thorough asset management processes

Required education, qualifications and experience:

•    ITIL Foundation Certificate 
•    Previous experience in an IS background working in a Microsoft based IS Infrastructure
•    A history of implementing new infrastructure solutions
•    Previous experience co-ordinating activities across multiple geographies

Required skills and competencies:

•    Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, solutions, procedures and processes
•    Good understanding of licensing and asset management 
•    Understanding of IT within a manufacturing environment
•    Excellent communication 
•    Problem solving and analysis
•    Project Management
•    Continuous improvement mindset
