About this opportunity

Your work environment

We currently have a vacancy for a Shift Manager, based in Sagunto (Valencia, Spain).

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead the shift operations ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency are at the heart of every decision. You will drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Your mission in Crown:

  • Ensure that all team members strictly comply with EHS and Quality standards, promoting a proactive safety culture and reinforcing policies and norms regarding Quality and Food Safety systems.
  • Lead and develop your team. Motivate and coach employees, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to foster engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the growth and development of team members by identifying training needs and supporting career progression.
  • Monitor production lines during the shift to guarantee adherence to the production schedule, product quality, and issue maintenance repair bulletins when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Area Managers about incidents and key updates since the previous shift.
  • Review order status and production plans to coordinate label and format changes.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring pending work is completed without compromising safety or quality.
  • Supervise and actively participate in tests, especially those involving raw materials or new parts or machinery.
  • Analyze problems and deviations, helping the team to conduct adequate corrective actions promptly and effectively.
  • Collect and report data following established procedures to support continuous improvement.

About you:

  • You hold a BA in Industrial Engineering, complemented by training in Occupational Risk Prevention and Food Safety. Ideally, you bring 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within high-speed FMCG manufacturing environments.
  • You are a leader who balances results with people, fostering engagement and accountability while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills enable you to provide clear feedback and maintain open dialogue with employees and managers.
  • You are process-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and you thrive under pressure while ensuring high standards of performance.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is essential, along with solid organizational skills to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced user of MS Office tools.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift pattern across all production lines.
