About this opportunity

Crown has now an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Production Engineer. The role reports to the Production Manager and is based on-site at our manufacturing plant in Tunis (Tunisia) producing Aluminium Beverage cans and operating 24/7.

Your mission in Crown
Manage and analyze production and quality data, focus on technical improvements, troubleshooting, performance optimization and lead process improvement projects with support of cross-functional teams while maintaining quality and safety standards.

 

Main Responsibilities
•    Collect, manage and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for improvement.
•    Act as a Project Leader for various improvement projects, ensuring that project timelines, objectives, and budgets are adhered to. 
•    Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute improvement initiatives effectively.
•    Conduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment issues and propose technical solutions to prevent future breakdowns. 
•    Conduct regular Quality checks and Safety audits to verify compliance with safety standards and regulations. 
•    Collaborate with the Quality and EHS teams to update procedural manuals (Maintenance & Production SOPs) as necessary.
•    Conduct 6S audits, document findings and implement corrective actions. Work closely with the plant team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
•    Developing and updating instructions in collaboration with Coordinators, Supervisors, and relevant collaborators.
•    Ensure accurate and timely entry of production data into relevant systems to support performance monitoring and reporting.

 

About You 
•    Technical background, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
•    Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing or high-speed production environment (experience in can-making, packaging, is a plus).
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S.
•    Proficient in data analysis tools and software.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
•    Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and their application in manufacturing environments is a plus.
•    Strong leadership abilities and experience in team coordination.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Good level of English, spoken and written.
