About this opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Technical Administrator to join our Production Engineering team in Shipley.

 

Your mission in CMbE

This role serves as the primary support for all technical tasks within the Production Engineering Department, including but not limited to the creation of process plans from technical drawings and the execution of additional duties as required. Some duties include conducting Make/Buy Analysis to determine the most cost-effective manufacturing approach, and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), charts, forms, and tables as required.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and experience of MRP and ERP systems, as well as PLM software. The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and developing effective manufacturing plans. Essential to this role is knowledge of and the ability to implement safe working practices in a manufacturing environment, and to define and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets, extract key insights, and summarise results effectively. Hands-on experience in manufacturing components in key to this role. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

 

About you
The candidate will hold a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to communicate technical information with various stakeholders both internal and external to the business; together with strong verbal and written skills, and strong time-management and prioritisation skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player, who is willing to share knowledge with co-workers.
