About this opportunity
We have a vacancy within our Purchasing team for a Purchasing Administrator to join us based at Shipley.
The Candidate
Supporting the Sourcing Team with an array of administrative and tactical activities, you will act as part of a team in order to improve the overall performance of the department; ensuring efficient and timely processing of all operational tasks.
Role Criteria
Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to: running various ERP system generated reports, sending out requests for quotations as per the daily MRP lists, raising manual and automatic Purchase orders, liaising with Scheduling and Expediting teams to ensure supplier delivery performance is in line with expectation and factory demands and maintaining good supplier relationships, communicating primarily via telephone and E-mail but on occasion in face-to-face meetings / visits.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
With 3 years experience in an administrative role, you will ideally have experience of supply chain principle and a manufacturing / engineering industry. Efficient data management and data processing is essential.
Package and further details
Bonus and pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays.
37.5 hours per week on days.
