We have a new vacancy for a Purchasing Administrator - Spares to be based in Shipley on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

 

Your mission in CMbE

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role will provide essential administrative support to the procurement team within a complex machine tool manufacturing environment. The Purchasing Administrator ensures that purchase orders are accurately processed, maintains up-to-date supplier records, and ensures the smooth flow of procurement documentation and communications. The successful candidate will liase daily with Scheduling and the expediting team in order to ensure that supplier delivery performance is in line with expectation and factory demands and contribute to the preparation of procurement reports and KPIs for internal use.

The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining material master data within the ERP system and will manage procurement related documentation such as contracts, order confirmations, delivery notes and invoices. The candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills which will allow them to maintain relationships with suppliers and communicate effectively through various channels such as telephone, Microsoft Teams and face to face. Additionally, the successful candidate will support resolution of issues related to invoices, deliveries and supplier queries.

 

About you

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, further education in Business Administration, Procurement or Supply Chain is desirable but not essential. The candidate should be a proficient Microsoft Excel user and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to build both internal and external relationships. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously, prioritising own workload. A minimum of 1 years administrative/procurement support duties and responsibilities is essential, with experience working within a manufacturing/engineering industry being advantageous. The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, challenge existing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Limited UK travel may be required.
