Your mission in Crown

Your main areas of responsibilities are to provide technical assistance to specified customers so as to ensure they are fully satisfied in using Crown’s products on their processes. In this role, the successful candidate will support the Food and Closures customers with can-making and canning technology based advice and problem solving expertise. You will act as the Crown’s expert within the customer environment, conducting required training and competency assessment, advising on appropriate action as necessary. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that customer filling lines operate safely and efficiently and safeguarding the integrity of and continuing demand for our products. You ensure that the expenses involved in providing technical assistance to customers are within the specified budget. You have to do regular seam checks within the customers' plants, repair, maintain and ensure overhaul of seaming and capping equipment. You give provision of engineering support and run trials at the request of the customer or the business. You will also support specific customer initiative projects, ensuring pro-active and professional customer relationships are maintained.  You will carry out customer-based audits including, where necessary, filling, processing and handling trials. You identify opportunities to provide training for customer personnel where new equipment and technology is being installed or where it is considered that skills and facilities should be improved. You will also support the European Customer service function as and when required.

About you
You are a mechanical techician or a qualified engineer, with a minimum 3 years industrial experience, ideally with knowledge and experience of can-making and canning capping process. You are quality and customer oriented, with a sound commercial and continuous improvement awareness. With a safety mind-set, you are a self-starter, with problem-solving, organisation and communication skills. You are PC literate and you have the ability to relate to people at all levels, both with the customers and within our own business. Experience of training delivery would be an asset. You speak fluent XY, YZ and English. Flexibility and travelling to locations often at short notice are keys to succeed in your role.
