We have a new vacancy for a Bench Hand to be based at our site in Shipley, West Yorkshire. 

Your mission in CMbE

Reporting to the Machine Shop Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately fitting and deburring parts to drawing specifications. The candidate will participate in cost saving initiatives by providing feedback to the improvement team, and participating in investigations to determine non-conformance. The candidate will work to audit areas to company 6's standards and will ensure that stock control processes are being adhered to. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate problem solving, mechanical skills and technical skills to manufacture products in a safe manner following CMbE procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to be able to escalate any tooling, drawing, routing and machine faults and will audit work areas to company 6's standards.

About you
The successful candidate will have previous experience of bench fitting/hand skills, with proficiency in fitting high complex components. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail, basic lean principles and will have strong communication skills to be able to escalate any tooling, drawing, routing and machine faults. The ideal candidate will have experience of using AWMS and MES to record data, and knowledge of Quality systems and procedures.
