A vacancy has arisen within our Finance Team for a Senior Accountant, based in our Beverage plant at Saarlouis in Germany. You will be responsible for the correct and timely handling of all financial, accounting and administrative matters for the plant.

Your mission in Crown:

Main Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the accounting operations at the plant, including ledger entries, reconciliations, financial statements and financial closings.
• Responsible for accruals and prepayments recording and maintaining the related reconciliations.
• Responsible for timely recording and timely follow-up of all vendor invoices
• Maintain vendor reconciliations and Statement of Accounts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and 3-Way match for invoice processing
• Prepare rolling Payment forecasts and provide continuous feedback if any vendor payment expected to be delayed
• Responsible for Inter-Company transactions and reconciliations
• Responsible for Fixed Asset Register maintenance relating to depreciation run, assets capitalization and disposals
• Reconciliate payroll accounting costs and ensure accurate tax filings (VAT, corporate), strictly aligned with German accounting and tax regulations.
• Responsible for preparations of documentation required for tax and admin approvals for payments & ensure timely follow up
• Prepare financial reports and drive improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.
• Monthly preparation of evidence for SOX and Balance Sheet reviews for areas under responsibility
• Support finance team in month end closing activities

About you:

• The successful candidate holds a degree in accounting or finance (minimum bachelor’s degree); A relevant certification (e.g. ACA/CIMA) would be a real advantage. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international manufacturing environment. You have knowledge of German accounting standards, a knowledge of USGAAP an advantage. With Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, you have acquired a working experience of SAP 4/HANA. You are a team player, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, bringing a proactive approach and a well-organized work ethic, with proven ability to manage financial deadlines and reporting timelines effectively. You demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, autonomy, and strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Besides German, Advanced English is mandatory.
