Your work environment: We now have an opportunity for a strong, highly motivated individual to join us as Inventory Controller, Spare Parts based in our plant in Saarlouis (Germany) which produces beverage aluminium cans and Ends, operating 7/7, 24h/24h on a continuous shift system. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and functionally to the Supply Chain Optimisation Manager Europe. Your mission in Crown:

The successful candidate plays a key role in ensuring the availability of spare parts and consumables in line with The Swiss Principal call-off requirements by establishing and managing the dispatch plan and effectively managing the supply and reconciliation of spares, consumables, in accordance with the Plant needs, to meet overall Business Plan objectives. The position also involves effective coordination of logistics activities, including:

• Regular inventory checks and adjustments
• Invoice control and verification
• Data maintenance, analysis and reporting
• Compliance to SOX controls and internal procedures

Planning & Coordination

• Plan and manage spare parts supply in line with production schedules, suppliers, SAP and storage capacity.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet just-in-time requirements and working capital goals.

Warehouse Management & Security

• Oversee spare parts warehouses per company policies.
• Ensure safe storage and maintain a clean, organised environment.

SAP & MII Data Maintenance

• Maintain and reconcile parts lists in SAP and MII.
• Support accurate consumption data and perform regular cycle counts for audits and SOX compliance.

Material Flow & Collaboration

• Work closely with production teams to ensure material availability.
• Optimise MRP, order points and quantities in SAP.

Compliance & Documentation

• Adhere to procedures for receiving and issuing parts.
• Keep accurate records of all inventory movements.

Quality Control & Inventory Management

• Monitor quality and quantity of incoming/outgoing materials.
• Evaluate stock levels and initiate timely reorders.

Goods Receipt & Returns

• Verify received items, resolve discrepancies, and classify parts correctly.
• Coordinate returns and overhauls with suppliers.

About you:

The ideal candidate will hold a university degree or a degree in Industrial Engineering, with a specialization in Supply Chain. They should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in IT is essential, and familiarity with SAP is a strong advantage.

Key competencies for the role include numerical aptitude, strong organizational and planning skills, a methodical approach and attention to detail. The candidate must be able to perform effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.

Fluency in English is required, in addition to German. The successful candidate will be a team player with a collaborative mindset, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to influence others effectively.
