About this opportunity

Main Purpose
To effectively manage the supply of Beverage Cans and raw material in accordance with customer and the plant needs to meet business plan objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Customer Service
•    Close co-ordination with Sales to satisfy the customer demand.
•    Liaise Warehouse Supervisor regularly to enforce daily finished goods delivery plans run timely manner
Production Planning / Scheduling
•    Manage short term horizon planning requirements to meet customer demand
•    Ensure maintenance, collation, production & distribution of week/ monthly sales forecasts & statistics to agreed deadlines.
•    Review plant capacity, and inventory regularly to update scheduling and production plans. 
•    Suggest improvements to distribution procedures, and act to improve timeliness to reduce costs.
•    Develop schedules, Establish sequence and timeframe for the Plant functions (Sales/Logistics/Manufacturing and Quality) in order to meet production/customer requirements.
•    Set up operational series to guide production so that maximum efficiency level will be maintained. (Design proofing, customer visits, line trials etc.)
•    Plan general supplies according to the production requirements and ensure that orders placed in time, and stocks are managed cost efficiently to avoid interruptions on the line/s due to the shortages.
•    Attend Customer strategy meetings as required.
Stock Management
•    Although there is no direct responsibility, monitor, mix and location of raw materials and finished goods stocks in order to generate accurate projections for MRP and PP purposes
Required Education, Qualifications and experience:
•    Engineering/Planning back ground preferably Industrial Engineer
•    Computer laterite Systems knowledge and advanced computer skills, understanding of SAP, ERP systems
•    Inter-personal / influencing skills
•    Continuous improvement orientation
•    Customer demand requirements and effective communications
•    Production capabilites - line speeds, maintenance programmes, etc
•    Systems knowledge and computer skills
•    Negotiation skills
•    Problem Solving
•    Ability to perform under stress
•    Purchasing procedures
•    Languages: English / Local Language
