Priority:

The Quality Engineer is a Champion of Food Safety (BRC/AIB) and quality improvement initiatives for the site, with a special focus on Quality System Management.

Main Purpose:

The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager and be based in Korinthos, Greece. This role works collaboratively with other departments to develop the Quality function for the plant through a customer-focused, quality mindset, ensuring the quality of delivered materials to the site and finished goods to customers.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan, maintaining all process control parameters within specification.
  • Respond promptly to resolve quality issues identified during production.
  • Manage laboratory instruments (e.g., colorimeter, dimensional tools, visual inspections).
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of incoming raw materials.
  • Support the development of customer and supplier relationships and drive improvement plans.
  • Champion Food Safety (BRC/AIB) and quality improvement initiatives for the site.
  • Improve quality performance using SPC, Cpk/Ppk, and WCP techniques.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the costs of non-quality.

Candidate Profile:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent training/accredited experience in Food Quality and Safety.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of statistics and quality management tools.
  • Extensive experience in problem solving, root cause analysis, and process capability.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality improvement within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and apply quality improvement tools & techniques.
  • Excellent professional communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to engage others effectively.
  • Conscientious, assertive, reliable, and dedicated.
  • Computer literate.
