Your work environment:

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to lead the finance and accounting operations, based at our manufacturing beverage plant in Korinthos (Greece). This position reports to the Finance Manager, with a functional reporting line to the European Shared Service Director.

The Chief Accountant is responsible for the Greek operational finance and accounting activities, supporting the manufacturing plant and the local finance team. The role covers all financial accounting, reporting, control over transactional activities and compliance activities for the Greek legal entity, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and US Group standards. The Chief Accountant provides leadership to the local finance team for operational processes including procurement, accounts payable, collections, accounts receivable, banking, treasury, taxation, statutory filings and financial reporting.

Your mission in Crown:

This role will ensure compliance with US GAAP, Greek GAAP and local tax regulations, while managing statutory reporting, audits and treasury activities.

You will oversee all core accounting processes, taxation, payroll and financial reporting, while driving process improvements and digitalisation. Acting as a key partner to plant operations and local management, you will provide financial guidance and ensure robust internal controls, including SOX compliance. You will Coordinate all corporate and local taxation activities — direct and indirect — including VAT, customs duties, and withholding taxes.

The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills to manage a small team, and the ability to represent our Greek Finance Department with auditors, banks and government authorities.

About you:

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACA, or Greek equivalent)
• Professional licence from the Economic Chamber of Greece

Experience

• Senior accounting or financial control role in a large corporate environment
• Exposure to US GAAP and SOX compliance
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and reporting tools (e.g., OneStream)
• Hands-on experience with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing
