About this opportunity

Your work environment : Located in the industrial park in Kechnec, we are a leading manufacturer of beverage cans in Slovakia with an annual capacity of over 1.5 billion cans. As Finance Manager, you will work closely with both the local management team and the wider European finance organization, reporting directly to the Finance Director Europe and, for plant-specific matters, to the Plant Manager. 

As part of the plant management team, you will primarily be responsible for the management of the finance department and the financial controls (manufacturing and commercial) of the Bevcan business for Central and Eastern Europe in line with Company policies as well as for the resourcing and development of your employees to ensure appropriate retention of skills and experience to meet business needs.

Your mission in Crown

The successful candidate ensures the business operates in accordance with Corporate Policies (CFAP/ Sarbanes Oxley/ Internal Controls framework, purchasing ethics) and that local controls meet minimum requirements. You continually monitor performance against controls and continuous improvement towards best practice. You ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including periodical review of all issues with auditors (internal & external) and Sarbanes Oxley reviews. You manage the budgeting and financial forecasts, the reporting, the cost management and the local statutory accounts (Financial statements, Tax & statutory audits - VAT and corporate income tax). You are responsible to coach and develop your team (6 people).

About you
You are an experienced finance professional with at least 7 years in a similar industrial environment, ideally with exposure to multinational operations. You have a strong understanding of financial controls, statutory reporting, and compliance (including US GAAP and SOX). You are analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and leadership skills. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced organization and can manage multiple priorities effectively. Fluency in Slovak and English is required; additional languages are an asset. Advanced PC literacy and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations are essential.
