Crown have launched and exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our plant team in Izmit, Turkey. This role reports to the Financial Controller for the site so is middle management level with three direct reports. This is a site-based position supporting the day to day running of finance team activities in our manufacturing environment.  
 

Main Responsibilities
•    Manage the small team of accountants at plant level 
•    Lead and maintain day-to-day accounting operations
•    Manage accounting analysis, posts entries
•    Control the chart of accounts and manage reconciliations
•    Maintain Tax Filings (Income tax, VAT, WHT and Stamp duty)
•    Ensure all accounting transactions are fulfilled on time and in accordance with legislation
•    Provide leadership in maintaining accurate and timely Statutory and US GAAP accounting operations
•    Coordinate Investment Incentive Related Tasks
•    Plan and monitor month end and annual financial closing processes
•    Monitor, analyze and prepare Balance Sheet reviews
•    Coordinate Legal Procedures regarding General Assembles and Signature Circular Updates
•    Monitor bank transactions, postings and check bank trial balances with the treasury team
•    Develop and implement process improvements
•    Maintain SOX related documentation in a timely manner  
•    Support Internal and External Audit Teams
•    Provide Data to Statistical Institution and other government offices
 

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
•    5 – 8 years’ experience in accounting operations 
•    Extensive accounting knowledge including exposure to Turkish / US GAAP or IFRS Accounting Standards
•    At least 3 years’ experience of leading an accounting team
•    Experienced and highly proficient in multiple business systems including ERP systems, especially SAP or JDE and Microsoft suite, especially Excel
•    Experience liaising with and advising stakeholders at various levels within a multinational environment
•    CPA certificate would be beneficial
