About this opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Plant Engineer for our Dubai Plant. This role reports to the Engineering Manager, with close collaboration across the Production and Engineering functions.

The Plant Engineer will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and execution of all preventative, predictive, and annual maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal production performance. The role also includes providing timely support to the production team on line issues and downtime root-cause investigations.

In addition, the successful candidate will be the lead owner of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), ensuring accurate data, maintenance planning discipline and continuous development of the system.

 

Your mission in Crown

Join us and take ownership of all maintenance planning and execution activities within the Engineering function to ensure our equipment operates to the highest standards of safety, quality, cost efficiency and reliability.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Developing, scheduling and executing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Annual Maintenance Programs for all production equipment. 
  • Acting as the primary owner of the CMMS system.
  • Coordinating maintenance activities with production, engineering and external service providers.
  • Supporting line troubleshooting and providing technical assistance during breakdowns.
  • Driving improvements in equipment performance, cost reduction, maintenance best practices and machine standardisation.
  • Supporting the development of SOPs, maintenance procedures and engineering documentation.
  • Leading continuous improvement projects.

 

About you

The successful candidate will have a strong manufacturing engineering maintenance background and be qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in a relevant discipline. You have significant experience in can-making equipment or other high-speed manufacturing maintenance environments.

You demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, reliability practices and maintenance planning
  • A safety-first mindset with a structured and logical approach to problem-solving
  • Clear and concise communication skills at all organisational levels
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with production, engineering and technical support teams
  • Computer literacy and comfort working with data and system-based maintenance workflows
