About this opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Stores Operative at Botcherby located in Carlisle (UK) which is one of Crown’s biggest plants in Europe. Planned ends volume for 2025 is currently 6 billion, we expect this to rise to over 8 billion with the planned investment, making this an exciting time to join Crown. With 3 can lines installed as well; our capacity is in excess of 1.5 billion cans with the potential to grow further.

Key accountabilities will be:

•    Keep accurate records of all stock, including spare parts and consumables
•    Oversee daily goods-in operations and check deliveries for damage or errors
•    Perform daily cycle counts and full weekly/monthly inventory audits
•    Report monthly KPIs and SOX compliance
•    Reconcile monthly tooling usage based on reports received from toolcare (engineering)
•    Unload deliveries and clear goods-in area using FLT
•    Handle outgoing shipments, including couriers and same-day deliveries.
•    Support finance in clearing stores related parked invoices in VIM

The ideal candidate should have:

•    2 – 3 years’ experience in inventory or spare parts management in manufacturing or engineering

•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy, in a fast-paced environment

•    The ability to work in a team player with good inter-personal and influencing skills

•    Computer skills 

•    Continuous improvement orientation 

Desirable

•    RTITB license 

•    Prior food and beverage service experience

•    Experience of MRP system
