About this opportunity


The role of the Site Quality & EHS Systems Coordinator is to provide essential support for Quality and EHS site management systems, ensuring to meet customer expectations, business needs, and comply with relevant standards, legislation, and regulatory requirements. This position is based in Botcherby, UK, and offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual.

 

The successful candidate will act as a key contributor, responsible for the continuous improvement of site management systems. The candidate will ensure compliance and provide ongoing support in alignment with company standards and legislative frameworks. The role requires the ability to handle various challenges, ensuring systems are up-to-date and effective. It is essential to maintain a proactive approach, ensuring all documentation is accurate and meets business and regulatory requirements at all times.
 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Maintaining and enhancing departmental and site systems to meet ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and FSSC 22000 standards, ensuring alignment with business management systems and procedures to achieve site objectives
  • Coaching and training personnel on required systems, driving continuous improvement to ensure all new starters are fully trained in relevant site procedures and systems
  • Managing local systems by updating, monitoring, and identifying system failures, addressing non-conformances, and agreeing on corrective actions where necessary
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with site systems, acting on and addressing any issues to maintain adherence to business standards
  • Conducting health and safety incident analysis as part of the EHS role, reviewing process data, reporting findings, recommending actions, and ensuring changes are implemented and validated
  • Ensuring compliance with customer product requirements and overseeing bought-in product standards by participating in both customer and supplier audits
  • Implementing and coordinating the internal audit plan/schedule, including warehouse audits, GMP / hygiene audits, and food safety audits, to ensure continuous compliance and improvement

 

Required Education and Qualifications

 

  • Trained to internal audit standard for relevant accreditation standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, FSSC 22000)

 

Beneficial Education and Qualifications

 

  • Green Belt certification
  • NEBOSH certification

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

 

  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality and/or EHS within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of accreditation standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, FSSC 22000)

 

Required Skills and Competencies

 

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Team player with a solid understanding of continuous improvement tools
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to drive change in current processes
  • Safety-minded with a focus on implementing improvements and fostering a safe working environment
