About this opportunity
Your work environment:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant, based in Botcherby (UK). The Plant operates 24 hours a day on a continuous shift system, 360 days per year and employs directly circa 250 people.
The role reports directly to the Plant Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team.
Your mission in Crown:
- To provide accurate and timely information to the plant on Other Manufacturing costs, working with The Plant Controller and Budget Holders monthly to reduce and monitor costs and explain variations to Budgets and Prior years.
- To work with the Finance team in reporting accurate information in a timely manner and providing accurate Budgets and Forecasts. To be responsible for reconciling of BS accounts monthly, analysis and controls.
- To support and work with colleagues in the Plant Finance Team on ad hoc reports and analysis. To work within reporting deadlines for month and quarter end. To assist the Plant Controller and Compliance with the annual audit.
About you:
You hold a degree in Finance/Accounting and you bring at least 3- 5 years of experience in an accounting role within the industrial sector — ideally in a multinational environment. You are proficient in US GAAP, with hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, budget and reporting and cost analysis. Familiarity with SAP and strong skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) are essential. AAT, ACCA, ACMA or CIMA or equivalent necessary.
You are detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. You are a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with SOX audits and working with external auditors (e.g., PWC) is a strong asset.
Flexibility, accuracy, and a collaborative spirit will be key to your success in this role.
