Technical Service Coordinator

Based at CMBE Shipley – We are recruiting a Technical Service Co-ordinator

Your mission in CMBE

The candidate

You will act as the key Technical point of contact for service enquiries (both internally and externally) across CMbE’s full product range, and global customer base.  Day to day management of the Service Engineers within the Service department.  Assist with planning the Service workload to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.  Support with the development of service contracts and overhaul packages, from initial technical discussions with customers to identifying parts/times required for quotations.  Providing specialist technical support and information to all areas of the business, and to CMbE’s global customer base as required.

Duties

You will have demonstrable experience and knowledge of managing customer enquiries (both internal and external) ensuring the Service department meets contractual and customer requirements.  Facilitating the creation of service contracts and the sale of overhaul parts through the Service department, including  and allocating resource for site visits and facilitating communications such as reports and quotations (written and verbal both internal and externally to Shipley).  Generating warranties and customer complaints, with responsibility to coordinate communication between customers, Service Engineers and internal departments.  Attending customers’ sites for general Service Management, training or in the capacity of a Service Engineer when required.  On call out of hours (including evenings, weekends and holidays) to support Service Engineers and/or customer issues such as breakdowns and arranging out of hours resource and travel.  Providing technical specialist support interpreting and determining customer requirements as required.  Supervising and coordinating the activity of staff, including work planning and people management.

Knowledge

Apprentice trained Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical qualification, In-depth technical knowledge and hands on experience of CMbE machinery is essential.  Extensive 2-piece can-making experience specialising in metal forming / finishing.  Can-making process knowledge.

Package and further details

Package

Offering a competitive salary in the company’s executive grading structure up to 40K, dependent upon experience, up to 9% employer pension contribution, 15% MIP bonus of basic salary and private medical insurance.
